|
A full-time position in the Community and Continuing Education Department. Responsible for developing, implementing, marketing and evaluating the continuing education and non-credit technical occupational programs for the college. Duties include but are not limited to:
•Includes responsibilities required by funding agencies, licensing/certification agencies and organizations where applicable.
•Primary responsibility for accuracy and completeness of applications and periodic reports based on policies and procedures of the DCCCD and rules and regulations of funding agencies.
•Performs or coordinates research and develops reports used in decision-making.
•Selects, trains and supervises designated staff; participates in selection of part-time instructors and is responsible for certification of instructor’s qualifications according to a variety of agency standards.
•Includes responsibility for negotiation, preparation and approval of required special employment agreements.
•Has primary responsibility for semester course offerings, registration processes, course/cost effectiveness, as well as a wide variety of marketing/advertising materials used to recruit students.
•Responsible for developing and administering a variety of grant programs.
•Includes budget administration, program/curriculum development/evaluation, outcomes and periodic reports and application processes.
•Develops business plan reflecting strategic goals of the College designed to generate revenue.
•Provides leadership in the revenue-generating activities of the continuing education unit to ensure positive revenue flow.
•Assists in the development of partnerships with other government and corporate organizations.
•Provides leadership in developing, implementing and maintaining curriculum and programs that respond to community needs, prepare students for success and which meet the external requirements of SACS and THECB.
•Provides leadership to the continuing education staff for entrepreneurial activities.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Master's Degree or higher plus five years or Bachelor's Degree plus five years of experience in continuing education environment including supervision.
•Well developed understanding of state/funding agency organizations and their relationship with community colleges.
•Excellent knowledge of computer technology to access data, maintain records, generates reports and communicate with others.
•Advanced oral and written communication skills to support interaction with funding agency officials, business/industry/community leaders and students/employees from diverse backgrounds.
•Official transcript will be required.
•A criminal background check will be conducted.
