Marywood University seeks applications for the position of vice president for academic affairs. The vice president for academic affairs is the chief academic officer of the university and reports directly to the president. Reporting to the vice president are the deans of four colleges and the school of architecture, the vice president for enrollment management, the assistant vice president for academic affairs for research and community collaboration, the PhD program director, and the director of library services.
Marywood University seeks a strategic thinker who, with the president, will help lead Marywood to the next level of excellence. The successful candidate will have:
o An earned doctorate and successful experience as a senior-level administrator;
o A record of effective teaching, quality research and scholarship, and meaningful service to qualify as a full professor,
o A knowledge of critical and emerging issues in American higher education,
o A commitment to the mission of a comprehensive, Catholic university,
o The desire to promote the core values of Marywood University,
o A demonstrated capacity for teamwork, collaboration and faculty mentoring,
o Experience with and an awareness of the importance of information technology for a dynamic and complex educational institution,
o An understanding of the role of international education,
o A commitment to building the diversity of the university’s faculty and staff, and
o The desire and skill to help in continuing to provide an environment of shared governance.
